Guest DIY Fan Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks to everyone who responded to my last post, I finally got down there tonight, (5 months later!) keyed in 1234 and hey presto we had action. Well we would have but for the fact it seems to have a cable fault to one of the PIRs. :'( Panel sees it as detecting someone but noone near it, and no LED. B*-/y kitchen fitters. It does not indicate a tamper on the panel at the moment so I think it might just be a deceased PIR. Now if its allowed, and I cant see why it wouldnt be by the moderators, can anyone tell me if I can remove the PIR lid / panel lid (which I know will make the thing go into tantrum mode) and when I am finished simply enter the user code to clear the tamper, or will I need the engineer code. I was thinking (hoping) that I could remove the panel front, enter the user code to silence the tamper, check / fix the cables (or just link out the detector), put the front back on and enter the user code again to hopefully clear the tamper. Would that work? Or am I hoping for too much? Any help greatly appreciated.

Guest DIY Fan Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 service engineer!!! 2 minutes for a response the local police take longer than that to answer their phones. I am well impressed. Will let you know how I get on. Hopefully get to doing it next sunday.
