Aritech Question

I've been asked to replace a bellbox at a premises that had the previous one smashed. The onwe has bought a Lynteck vortex SAB and the panel is Aritech cd72.

I've checked with Lynteck, who didn't seem to know anything about connecting to aritech and then said that I need to join a 1K resistor between TR and Hold + in the SAB.

However, the Aritech needs an EOL resistor 4K7. The question is do I need both? Previous posts say a 4k7 between TR and Hold - and others say just an EOL on TR is needed.

Does anyone have the answer?

Regards

Phil

U need to take the Bell Tamp return and connect it into the common ( ov ) side of the bell tamp terminals, but the 4k7 resistor need to be in series with the bell. Im not sure which side of the bell tamp terminals is the common so try both !

Good luck !

With the RKP I always make it EOL, Tried once with two beldens and never again.

The tamp on the RKP is ok, never had a problem with either the new tiny switch or the previous white button type thingie.

Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time.

If you can't make the keypad end of line you can put a JB above the keypad in the false ceiling ect and star off. Just keep the cable as short as you can.

What do you think of the new software with the screen saver?

Yes, It would be nice if we could have the kp as the end of line, not always the case though.

The terminal are a nightmare to, Aritech could of made them just a lllittle bit big haha !

Not alot their bringing out software every week now arent they ! haha !

Rip it out and stick a Galaxy 500 in. :D

Or if it's EN use a G3

The latest screen saver version is ok, But I think we have to many versions now especially for a panel so new. Fitted a galaxy G3 yesterday and managed ok, havent had any training on it but found it fairly easy.

Fitted a ATS 3000 last night.Under pressure cos ripped old panel out. Power it up , kill panel to default, go to keypad , type in code and cant seem to do anything.Down power, kill, down power kill, nothing, couldnt shut it up!!Who do I call at 10pm as a subby??? Finally get hold of someone and find out that the new software requires a 0 in front of code. Thanx for telling me then! :banned:

I rememebr a time you couldnt have 0 in your code on an aritech :fear:

Chris

GE, when you change your software how about changing the paper work that comes with the panel aswell?!!!!!!
