PJF Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Chris, Re: new software, There is a new bit of paper in the box that tells you about the upgrade. Dont worry mate it got me twice, sent both back as faulty . Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time.
Guest Justin Roberts Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 They have got some sorting out to do on the panel but when its finished i think it will be right up there. But they might hane to give some training out to poor iess They have got some sorting out to do on the panel but when its finished i think it will be right up there. PJF Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Im happy with the latest version and unless another industry change comes along then I think this version is for keeps. GE are training, Ive had two off them and one off our own techies. Each branch does have its own ATS master(an expert on the panel). C.S TEK. Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 na didnt have an ammendment in the box mate, looked for that before powered up. Didnt have no batterys leads either, had to swipe them from old 9600 panel. I have worked on both the new galaxys and ATS now And I dont think theres that much between them. The ATS is quite straight foward to be honest ,once you get ya head round em. Trouble is there is a lot to remember with these new panels. Took me a while to get me 1202 plugged onto 1201 working last night, kept getting tamper on extra 8 zones, addressed 1201 but forgot to address plug on, keep forgetting they can go up to 32 zones for plug on I/Ps And then theres the bit of the 1kresistor across every sounder output including 1201 and when you been working on one job allday then go to another in the night it makes you just wanna AGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'll get there in the end, when they stopped playing at GE Chris Trade Member As Mr Kingswood said "Dont forget the 6 P's when installing.....Proper Preperation Prevents P*** Poor Performance!!!" Guest Justin Roberts Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 With the smart DGP psu you can do a bit with them. You have got your 16 zones and output, pretty on big installs
Guest Phild Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Thanks fot your thoughts guys. I'm still getting nowhere with tech line at lynteck. They promised 3 callbacks and an e-mail, but nothing seen yet. The LED's on the bellbox are flashing Alarm condition and will not reset. the system set last night and this am went straight into alarm. I've not checked yet, but this could be due to me putting EOL resistors in the entry exit contact + they are probably already wired into a junction box. I would have expected the panel to notice this though. Anyone come across a shorrock installation using aritech CD72? How did you wire the SAB? Regards Phil
