norman Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 This should be accompanied by the zone 2 indicator being lit. all the zones are unlit. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
Guest ALSEC Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Def door contact, try entering your user code and pressing PROG, then press 19 and then open and close the front door - the zone for the front door should now be lit and if it isn't then it's not working! After confirming the contact is working or not - press RESET and RESET again. This is a really simple job to sort out, however, the cost of calling out and engineer to fix this will probably come to around the same amount of an annual maintenance contact so why not get the contract and they will replace the contact during the takeover service - then you will have someone to call for the next 12 months if you have anymore problems....

It is the door contact. Thanks for all the advice guys, specially re the maintainace contract.
