can anyone recommend one as im looking to install cctv and recorded on a seperate pc HDD

want ot get things bit by bit, so first thing i want is the car

any recommendations?

as far it is not Ford you should be quite OK..

I wouldnt. i would use a dedicated DVR, PC's are for PC'ing in my book!

You have been playing too much with windows based stuff boys..

PC hardware + LINUX + cards are OK.

not necessarily cheaper than dedicated DVR's (which has mother boards, capture cards, operating systems too..) thou.

There are a few types available, look for one that uses H.264 codec though. You can be fairly sure it will be a recent model and it will save you loads of hard drive space.
