Guest mrgripple Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 i was asked to look at a veritas 8 compact alarm for someone who had some work done on her house, which meant the alarm on the front of her house had to be removed and disconnected. upon replacing this the builders couldnt get the alarm to stop going off and so removed a chip from inside the siron to cut power. ive been up to have a look at it but with no instructions didnt get very far, all i can say is as soon as this chip is replaced the alarm sounds even though the keypad hasnt been set can anyone help me with this is there a master reset code you have to put in or could the builders have wired the alarm up incorrectly
dpaengineer Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 could be wired wrong. More likely down to the fact that you are trying to connect the siren while the system is powered up. try powering down first, then connect siren, then power back up. Trade Member
