Panel recently locked out (with a zone fault and PA red light although I don't have a PA installed).

I cleared it by powering down and powering up again. All is well except that the strobes on both bell boxes no longer work either in alarm condition or when tested.

I have checked fuses and all seem OK - any ideas anyone please.

Have you tested the output for the strobe with a multimeter to see it changed state i.e +12vdc going 0vdc or vice a versa??

  1. have you checked the voltage from the output
  2. have you checked the current from the output?
  3. try applying 12 Vdc directly to the strobes.

:hmm:

I went up into the attic...I found a Stradavarius & a Picasso. Unfortunately.....

Stradavarius couldn't paint, and Picasso made a shocking fiddle.

Just a word of warning - the strobe in the bell-box can hold a high charge through the capacitor. Avoid touching any components around the strobe in the bell box itself. As per the advice above, connect the wires in the Strobe+ and Strobe - terminals directly to a 12V source to test the strobes themselves.
